Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 at an Olympic celebration. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. She would later become the coach for Romania's gymnastics. She competed for the very first time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. In the following year, she became champion. She won three golds in her debut competition which was a junior Olympic meet in 1972, which was a communist-friendly countries. In 1973 as well as 1974, she became the junior all-around champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver awards in the first competition of her senior level that took place in 1975. This was the first time she competed as a senior. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to attempt the backward double salto in dismounting off the barres that are not parallel. Her path into the entertainment industry began during her teen years when she began performing as a figure skater with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. In her early years she began her journey as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling show called Ice Capades. They had ice-skating performances that featured theatrical shows.
