Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on 17 April, 1972. She was raised however at Charleston West Virginia. Her dad, William John Garner, worked as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at the local college. Following in the footsteps of her father she completed an engineering degree in chemical science. In order to fulfill her ambition of becoming an actor, she relocated into New York to try her chances in the film industry. Her Broadway performances were followed by work in a local eatery. She was in a guest role on the television series "Felicity." This was in this show that she first met Scott Foley, her first husband. Garner got her first big performance with "13 going on thirty" which was a romantic comedy widely praised. She was a teen girl who was trapped within the body of an adult. Garner chose Gary Winick (director) to make the movie. The two looked for new opportunities until Winick passed away in 2011. Garner was named an artist ambassador by Save the Children U.S.A. The role includes promotion of national literacy, nutrition, early education, and many different aspects. She visits many families in Early Steps to School Success which is a program that aims to help parents understand how to help their child's development - and act as an advocate.
